Winner announced for contest to rename former Vistoso Golf Course
The Town of Oro Valley is pleased to recognize the winner of the contest to name the 202-acre property formerly known as the Vistoso Golf Course. Congratulations to Oro Valley resident Nikki Dilbeck for submitting the winning name, Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve.

Oro Valley announces contest to name
202-acre Vistoso outdoor space
The Conservation Fund will transfer the Vistoso property to the Town of Oro Valley in July. We have called it the Vistoso Nature Preserve for many months, but the Town of Oro Valley wants to officially provide a name for the property. Below is an announcement about an exciting contest for the community to name the property. Let’s demonstrate our continuing commitment to our new nature preserve and participate in this contest!

Mayor Winfield Expresses Pride in Agreement for Vistoso Property
In a bylined article in the Oro Valley Explorer (see page 11) Oro Valley Mayor Joe Winfield states: “I am particularly proud of the fact that our residents played such a vital role, and I offer a heart-felt thank you for your patience, determination and commitment. You have helped preserve this beautiful open space in our community for generations to come.”

Oro Valley announces purchase and final settlement of former Vistoso Golf Course
The Town of Oro Valley released the Settlement Agreement that served as the foundation for today’s purchase of the former Vistoso Golf Course and announced its preliminary plans for when the Town takes ownership of the property later this year.
