About Preserve Vistoso

The mission of Preserve Vistoso is to promote the public support and appreciation of the natural beauty and recreational amenities of Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve for the inspiration, education and enjoyment of current and future generations.

Preserve Vistoso is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2019 to let our Oro Valley community have a voice in the future of the closed Vistoso Golf Club. Our more than 1,800 members provided a vital, united force in representing the community with the Town of Oro Valley. We believe the best option is to establish the property as a nature preserve and community trail for everyone's benefit.

Mission

 

The mission of Preserve Vistoso is to promote the public support and appreciation of the natural beauty and recreational amenities of Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve for the inspiration, education and enjoyment of current and future generations. As part of that effort, we intend to:

  • Enhance natural, cultural educational and recreational resources

  • Foster a passion, appreciation and support for our Sonoran Desert

  • Make the preserve welcoming and accessible to everyone

  • Return the land to a native desert environment

  • Elevate the community's quality of life
