Michael Spaeth, Oro Valley Planning and Zoning, provides an overview of the process and the proposed Romspen request for a revision to the 2016 voter-approved Oro Valley General Plan and rezoning of 87 acres of the former Vistoso Golf Course. Linda Morales, The Planning Center, and Peter Oelbaum, Romspen’s Managing Partner, participate in the video. Oro Valley Parks and Recreation Director Kristy Diaz-Trahan also shares information on the Town’s plan to prioritize community investments in the Town’s currently owned facilities. Those facilities are not in Rancho Vistoso, but in the central part of Town.

Your first opportunity for open dialog with Romspen and the Town of Oro Valley will be May 14 at 6:00 PM when the Town will host a Web-based ZOOM meeting. Information about how to participate in the Zoom meeting is posted on and Preserve Vistoso will send out more details closer to May 14th. If you would like an opportunity to get a preview of what it is like to participate in a Zoom meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission is hosting a Zoom teleconference at 6:00 PM on May 5th and the Town Council Meeting is being held via Zoom at 6:00 PM on May 6th.
