Wednesday Town Council Meeting Considers Options for Former Vistoso Golf Course

We urge all members of Preserve Vistoso to attend the Oro Valley Town Council meeting (Zoom Call) on Wednesday, June 3, at 6 pm to demonstrate our community supports Council efforts to consider “possible options” to save the former golf course as a nature preserve and community trail.   This could be an important first step in keeping the property zoned recreational.  It made a difference when we packed the Council Chambers on January 23rd for a Parks and Rec meeting, so let’s cover the Zoom screen with hundreds of our members.

The first agenda item is sponsored by Mayor Winfield and Vice Mayor Barrett: DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE DIRECTION TO THE TOWN MANAGER TO FACILITATE, WITH ROMPSEN'S KNOWLEDGE AND CONSENT, COMMUNICATIONS WITH THIRD PARTIES ABOUT POSSIBLE OPTIONS FOR ITS ORO VALLEY PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE FORMER VISTOSO GOLF COURSE.

The Second agenda item, sponsored by Town Council Members Solomon and Pina: UPDATE AND INFORMATIONAL DISCUSSION REGARDING THE CLOSED VISTOSO GOLF COURSE.

We can demonstrate our community commitment to save the former golf course as a Nature Preserve and Community Trail by participating in this Zoom call via https://orovalley.zoom.us/j/94950116545  or via phone 1-669-900-6833.

You can view the agenda and detailed instructions to join the call by going to the Town Council Agenda.

If you are joining the meeting on your computer and would like use the Preserve Vistoso logo as your Zoom profile, you can download the White Logo (for dark backgrounds) or Color Logo (for light backgrounds). Instructions for setting your Zoom profile image can be found here.

The possible Council actions on the agenda are separate from the Planning and Zoning neighborhood meetings scheduled for the next two weeks.
